Herbstation by Altifarm is your next generation indoor garden

Herbstation allows you to plant seeds, water them, let the self-watering feature take over, and watch your garden grow.

Herbstation by Altifarm is an indoor garden you can back on Kickstarter if you’re looking to grow your own vegetables, herbs, and more. It’s a simple product that anyone can work on whether you’re 5 years old or 90. Plant seeds, water them, let the self-watering feature take over, and watch your garden grow.

What’s cool about this you have three different options to choose from on how you want your veggies or herbs to grow. You have the standard counter-top method, which you can set on a counter-top in the kitchen or small table in the living room. The second option is wall-mounted, where you can literally hang the station to a wall. Finally, the third option is a floor standing station. This option will let you roll it anywhere in the house to where you want it. Each option will come with either one, two, or three Herbstations depending on which tier you prefer.

The garden grows with custom designed 3W high power LED lights with wavelengths that will help the plants grow throughout the growth process. This is also an industry first magnetic mounting system letting you attach the lights up high or close to the Herbstation.

As for watering the plants, you only have to fill it up every 7-10 days. There are no pumps, connections, or motors for water to go through in order to take care of the plants. All you’ll need to do is fill the pod up to the top line and let the rest be taken over by the patent-pending self-watering system.

With a little under a month to go, this all-or-nothing project is currently sitting at about 40% funded. Backing options start as low as US$179, which is $70 off the MSRP of $249. As with any crowdfunding campaign, there is a risk supporting them. We’ve recently heard about several that we’ve written about that have failed or are having issues. Our reporting on Kickstarter campaigns does not mean we support or are affiliated with them. Support at your own risk.
